Company Context Arthur Robotics is solving dexterity for general-purpose robotics, creating next-generation automation solutions inspired by the human hand. We're a small start-up pushing the bounds of hardware and software research from our lab in Somerset House, London.
We’re building a product to automate any industrial process - from fastening nuts and bolts, to routing flexible wire harnesses, to packaging delicate pieces of fruit. Since being founded in January 2025, we've demonstrated breakthrough dexterous manipulation capabilities, and we're now developing the infrastructure needed to bring our technology to market. This Role
We’re looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to help take our dexterous hand from a 3D-printed lab prototype into an industrial product capable of operating for tens of thousands of hours in factory environments. The work includes:
- Owning complete electro-mechanical systems, from concept through to volume production
- Designing ultra-compact actuation systems for robot fingers, including motors, transmissions, sensors, and structural components
- Developing testing infrastructure to quantify performance, reliability, and wear over thousands of operating hours
- Building supply chain relationships: evaluating and selecting manufacturing partners, managing RFQs, pilot production runs, and quality control
