About the role
Reporting into our Sr. Manager, Agency Strategy & Operations, the Salesforce Administrator will have a deep understanding of our current setup and business objectives, and will proactively identify opportunities for optimization. They will drive platform governance, liaise with stakeholders, and support change management as solutions are assessed, implemented, and when appropriate not implemented. They will translate technical concepts into stakeholder-friendly terms and clearly explain design options and their potential impact.
What you’ll do
• Manage all aspects of user and license administration, including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, org-wide defaults (OWD), and sharing rules
• Own Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Workflow, Process Builder, Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards, and reports
• Manage sandbox environments
• Identify and gather requirements, translating them into best-practice, scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience
• Manage integrations with third-party tools and applications to ensure seamless data flow and connectivity with Salesforce
• Understand data management practices to improve Salesforce data quality and assess impact to the platform and end users
• Own proactive system maintenance, including security and user access reviews, release updates, gap analysis, troubleshooting, and implementing solutions that enhance efficiency, data cleanliness, and reporting
• Contribute to the platform roadmap and help define priorities in partnership with stakeholders
• Support other applications that integrate with Salesforce or support the GTM teams
• Address production support requests, including bugs and enhancements
• Build deep knowledge of EverQuote's Salesforce configuration, integrations, and broader GTM tech stack
• Support QA, testing, and User Acceptance Testing
What you bring to the team
• 5+ years of experience supporting the Salesforce platform (or equivalent hands-on experience — e.g., via bootcamp, self-directed learning, or a related admin role).
• Certified Salesforce Administrator
• Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, and connected apps
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions in nontechnical language
• Working understanding of business analysis, with the ability to document processes and technical functionality
• A strong customer-service mindset and genuine interest in solving problems
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
(Nice to have)
• Certified Salesforce Platform App Builder
• Certified Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant, or Service Cloud Consultant
• Experience with basic Triggers
• Experience supporting other GTM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Groove, Churnzero, Conga, DocuSign)
• Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
The base salary offered for this position is determined by several factors, including the applicant’s job-related skills, relevant experience, education or training, and work location. The base salary for this full-time hybrid role is $95,000-$110,000.
In addition to base salary, our total compensation package may include participation in variable cash bonus programs, equity, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility which are designated by role.
