Job Description
As the Production Manager , you will be responsible for executing the Youfoodz manufacturing plan across designated production areas. You will provide day-to-day operational leadership to frontline teams and Team Managers, playing a critical tactical role in driving team performance, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and audit readiness within your area of control.

You will…
• Oversee and coordinate production operations to ensure full delivery of the Youfoodz manufacturing plan across assigned areas.
• Manage labour efficiency KPIs (e.g., labour cost/kg, headcount control) and proactively adjust labour plans in line with volume changes.
• Drive a culture of audit readiness by ensuring sustained compliance with BRCGS, HACCP, and internal food safety standards.
• Lead and champion workplace health and safety (WHS), ensuring all activities comply with legislation, site policies, and safe work procedures.
• Conduct or support incident investigations, ensuring timely reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement (CI) initiatives, including process efficiencies, cost reduction projects, and waste minimisation.
• Coach, develop, and mentor Team Managers to build leadership capability, safety ownership, and front-line performance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Quality Manager, Engineering, Inwards Goods) to support site improvement plans.
You have…
• 3–5 years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• At least 2 years’ experience successfully leading or managing frontline leaders or large operational teams.
• A strong understanding of WH&S, HACCP, and food manufacturing compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated success in improving operational performance, including efficiency, waste reduction, and labour utilisation.
• An understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, or exposure to BRCGS audit processes (highly desirable).
• A Tertiary qualification in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering, Food Technology, or a Certificate IV in Leadership and Management (desirable).

Salary: AUD $85,000 - $95,000 per annum & employee benefits
