Band 6 Occupational Therapist – Acute Medical & Orthopaedic Wards Location: Newport Contract: Temporary Hours: Full-time Our client is seeking an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join their team, working across acute medical and orthopaedic wards . This role involves providing specialist occupational therapy interventions to support patient recovery and facilitate safe, timely discharges. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality occupational therapy interventions for patients on acute medical and orthopaedic wards. • Complete functional assessments and develop individualized rehabilitation plans. • Support discharge planning and liaise with the multidisciplinary team. • Promote independence and optimize patient outcomes through evidence-based practice. Requirements: • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist. • Proven experience in acute inpatient care , ideally across medical and orthopaedic specialties. • Strong communication and teamwork skills. • Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload.
