Interventional Radiographer

Location: Colchester, Essex (commutable from North/East London, Chelmsford, Ipswich) Contract: Locum (Band 6/7) Start: ASAP Hiring now for a Senior Radiographer (Locum) in Colchester (Band 6–7). £25–£30 p/h depending on experience, with flexible patterns and quick compliance. Ideal for radiographers confident across core imaging with strong standards and mentorship experience. What you’ll do • Deliver safe, patient-centred diagnostic imaging across a busy hospital service • Use RIS/PACS/EPR accurately; keep clear records and protect data confidentiality • Contribute to image quality, protocol optimisation and routine QA • Mentor and support juniors/students; help coordinate daily workflow • Work closely with the MDT to meet service demand and turnaround times Must-haves • Degree (or equivalent) in Diagnostic Radiography • HCPC registration as a Radiographer • Strong recent experience operating at senior level in a hospital imaging team • Comfortable supervising colleagues and maintaining high professional standards • Confident user of hospital IT systems (RIS/PACS/EPR) Nice-to-haves • Any exposure to Interventional Radiology (IR) • Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting • Experience in Computed Tomography (CT)
