About the Role
Core Services is the shared engineering layer between Hinge’s product features and infrastructure. The pillar is responsible for the product platforms and backend capabilities that multiple teams should be able to build on directly. We are looking for a Director of Engineering to lead the Core Services pillar within Platform. This role owns the long-range direction of the pillar while ensuring the teams and leaders within it are effective, aligned, and executing well. You will help Hinge identify which cross-team needs should become shared platforms, drive adoption of the platforms we build, and raise the bar for backend engineering across the company. This is a platform leadership role with broad cross-functional reach. You will contribute at the Platform group level, coordinate closely with adjacent pillars, and help shape a more coherent approach to shared product and backend capabilities across Hinge.
