What you’ll have to do:
• Place appropriate orders to ensure product availability that meets consumer demands. Inventory such as used / refurbished phones, accessories, spare parts.
• Maintain relationships with current suppliers, negotiate pricing, delivery, and payment terms, as well as find / check and test new suppliers;
• Draw up forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory;
• Devise long-term development strategies for product categories;
• Take responsibility on the revenue for category;
• Define and implement the category strategy and plans based on department/company initiatives, consumer and market trends;
• Responsible for developing the merchandising, assortment, and promotional strategy to maximize sales and margin on assigned categories;
• Identify and execute sales-driving strategies, cross channel synergies, and business development opportunities.
• Responsible for online merchandising efforts, such as product categorization, cross-sells, upsells, and featured product selections;
• Maintain accurate and compelling product information.
What makes you a good fit:
• Prior experience within a buying position for at least 1 year;
• Would be considered a plus if you have prior experience in electronics or e-commerce;
• Must possess excellent MS office skills, especially MS Excel;
• Experience in managing categories;
• Strong analytical skills and negotiation;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Knowledge of sourcing, buying, product development, and stock management;
• Project management & good leadership skills;
• Proficient in English - writing and speaking.
