The Associate Director, Europe Sales Training & Business Operations will serve as a strategic leader supporting Corcept’s Oncology expansion in Europe, with an initial focus on Germany (and the DACH region) and scalability to broader European markets. This role integrates commercial training, learning & development, and field operations excellence to enable a high-performing, launch-ready organization. This role will report to the Europe General Manager (or, if a GM is not in place at the time of hiring, the President of Oncology).
This individual will design and operationalize capabilities across the commercial ecosystem, ensuring alignment of training, field execution, business processes, and performance enablement with brand strategy and launch priorities.
Responsibilities:
Commercial Training & Capability Building
• Lead the strategy, design, and execution of comprehensive commercial learning programs, including onboarding, product and disease state training, competitive intelligence, and selling skills
• Develop and implement scalable learning frameworks that support launch readiness and ongoing capability development in Germany and broader Europe
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Medical, and Legal and Compliance to ensure training strategies align with brand objectives, market dynamics, and regional business priorities
• Establish coaching standards and field development processes in partnership with field leadership to identify capability gaps, reinforce key behaviors, and drive field excellence
• Drive operational excellence through the development and continuous improvement of commercial processes, technologies, and field support systems that enable execution at scale
• Lead onboarding operations and field readiness strategies to accelerate new hire productivity and ensure consistent employee experience
• Direct the planning and execution of key commercial initiatives, national and regional meetings, and recognition programs that reinforce strategic priorities and organizational culture
• Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and operational planning to ensure compliant, efficient, and fiscally responsible execution across commercial initiatives
Learning Infrastructure & Insights
• Oversee Learning Management System (LMS) strategy, including vendor selection, implementation, governance, and continued optimization
• Establish performance metrics and analytics to assess training effectiveness, learner adoption, and impact on field performance
• Capture field insights through engagement, field visits, and stakeholder feedback to inform training strategies, operational improvements, and business priorities
Leadership & Communication
• Drive structured communication and meeting cadences to ensure alignment, transparency, and engagement across the European commercial organization
• Develop and execute field communication strategies that drive awareness, adoption, and alignment around key business initiatives, training programs, and organizational priorities
• Act as a strategic partner to regional leadership, contributing to planning, execution, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Uphold Corcept’s ethics and patient-first principles, embedding collaboration, evidence-based decision-making, accountability, compliance, and cultural awareness into all aspects of work. Operates with cultural awareness and effectiveness across diverse European markets
• Occasional travel required across Germany and Europe as expansion progresses, with occasional travel to the US headquarters
Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:
• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment
• Proven ability to manage complex projects, vendors, and budgets while driving measurable business impact
Preferred Education and Experience:
• 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech commercial roles, including sales, training, or field operations
• Experience supporting launch or expansion in international markets; Europe (Germany/DACH) experience preferred
• Demonstrated success integrating commercial training, field enablement, and operational excellence in a matrixed environment
The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position is €110,000 - € 125.000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on legitimate considerations, including geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
