AI Engineer

Location Qualifications: Bucharest (hybrid, 2 days in the office) About the position As an AI Engineer at Showpad, you will contribute to our AI and machine learning initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement AI technologies that align with our business goals. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers to build impactful solutions and grow your expertise in a fast-moving space. You'll work with state-of-the-art technologies such as LLM models like LLama 3/3.1, Claude models, AWS Bedrock, AWS Sagemaker, and AWS OpenSearch. Our primary languages are Python, TypeScript, and Kotlin. The AI and Generative AI space is evolving rapidly, and so are we — we continuously update to the newest models, track emerging techniques, and engage in extensive experimentation with prompt engineering. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain AI models to solve complex business problems • Contribute to projects from scoping through to release, under the guidance of senior engineers • Support the performance and reliability of AI and machine learning systems • Collaborate effectively across teams, sharing progress and surfacing blockers early • Design, craft, and optimize prompts that guide our AI systems to generate accurate, informative, and creative outputs • Contribute to engineering and product discussions, bringing fresh perspectives. Are you our next AI Engineer? Must haves • Educational background in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related field — or equivalent knowledge gained through hands-on experience • Experience developing and implementing AI models and algorithms • Good knowledge of Python • Hands-on experience working with LLMs and other Generative AI models • Experience working with AWS or other cloud providers • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively • Good communication and collaboration skills Nice to haves • Experience building retrieval augmented generation (RAG) systems • Experience with search algorithms • Experience working in an agile team • Experience with the evaluation of (Generative) AI systems Company Highlights: Welcome to the new era of revenue effectiveness.
