Band 6 Occupational Therapist – Acute Location: Shropshire Contract: Temporary Our client is seeking an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join their team in Shropshire. This role involves working within an acute inpatient setting , specifically across medicine, endocrine, respiratory, and renal wards , supporting patients through their recovery and ensuring safe, timely discharges. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality occupational therapy interventions across acute medical wards. • Support discharge planning and ensure effective pathways for patient transitions. • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care. • Promote independence and functional recovery for patients with complex medical needs. Requirements: • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist. • Proven experience in acute inpatient care , ideally across medicine, endocrine, respiratory, and renal specialties. • Strong understanding of discharge pathways and admission avoidance. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
